Are You Ready
For Back To School?

a personalityWhy not use a “Grade Mascot”
to make it exciting for every student?

The first few days of school can be filled with stress, especially for the beginner. New faces, new places and new concepts can make the transition to school difficult, Even if it is just moving from one school to another.

As a school Principal, or a Teacher, or a parent you can make it better. Why not give something to the new student to blend in with the school, and help them get attached?

Why not set up a program to give every student a school mascot on the opening day of school? Each student will get a “Grade Mascot” showing the grade they are in this year.

The student gets to meet the School Mascot Character, the “Grade Mascot,” and will begin to bond with the school, and the Mascot.

To add more excitement, place a number on each mascot, and during the first few weeks of school the Principal will draw a number, and the student that has that number on their mascot will win a prize. To make it more exciting, draw several numbers!

If the School Budget is too small for the school to sponsor this program, this can be the first fundraiser for the year. My group found this to be a great way to raise money early in the year and introduce the student to the school.

Some schools get sponsorship from merchants in town and the merchants get exposure and advertisement. The figurine mascot lends itself to this by having a place to put the sponsorship on the bottom of the base.

There are many ways for the school to get sponsorship for a program that means so much to the school, and the community.

For Elementary Schools the Mini Plush Mascot is a fantastic item. The student can clip it to his or her backpack and begin to build a relationship. The bond between the student and the mascot will make them proud to be part of the school.

For Middle Schools it is better to have a Figurine Mascot with the Students Name on Line one and the grade of the student, and year they are in that grade, on line two.

Check out the “Parade of Mascots” and use your imagination as to how you can best use the ideas you find. See the “Mascot Awards Program” for your school to get an overview of the entire awards program.

If you want to see if we have your Mascot in stock, call 1.866.394.5056, toll free, or send us an email by going to the contact page. Let us know what you think about the “Small” Mascot, and give us new ideas we can share with others.
